Providing H&S Services and Support to Organisations

We provide H&S services and support to help organisations on their own journey to becoming safer and healthier places in which to work and trade successfully.

Health and Safety Business Benefits

Good H&S practice makes sound business sense. You can:

  • Protect your workers from the suffering caused by accidents and ill-health

  • Reduce absences and sick leave

  • Retain staff

  • Maintain your business reputation

  • Boost productivity and profits

  • Reduce insurance premiums and legal costs

Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register (OSHCR)

You probably manage most aspects of your business yourself or with the help of your staff, but if you are not confident of your ability to manage H&S 'in-house,' you may need some external help or advice.

The OSHCR was established in response to the Government's Common Sense, Common Safety report, which recommended that all H&S consultants should be accredited to a professional body and that a web-based directory be established. The register aims to assist businesses to find advice on general H&S management.

A network of professional bodies and stakeholders have worked together in partnership to develop this register, which has established a benchmark standard for safety consultants and help to raise the quality of advice being given to businesses.

This minimum standard has been set at a degree level qualification, at least two years’ experience and active engagement in a continuing professional development scheme.

Businesses can have confidence in choosing an H&S consultant from the register, as they are bound by their professional body's code of conduct and are committed to providing sensible and proportionate H&S advice.

Providing H&S Services and Support to Assist Organisations with Compliance

We understand that keeping up to date with H&S legislation can be complicated and time-consuming, especially when small and medium-sized business owners have enough to deal with from day to day.

However, complying with legislation is vital, not only for your employees but also to ensure that you have addressed any risk-based liabilities that you may be responsible for.

Did you know that health and safety violations lead to multiple business closures and prosecutions each year and new legislation is constantly being introduced?

We can help you with:

  • Health & Safety Policies and Documentation

  • Risk Assessments

  • Site Visits, Audits and Inspections

  • Training Deficiencies

  • Named Competent Person Service

  • Bringing Statutory Documentation up to Date

  • Help with the Contractor Management

  • The Contractors Health and Safety Assessment Scheme (CHAS) and other accreditation advice

  • Help Completing Pre-Qualification Questionnaires

IOSH Chartered Membership

The Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH)

IOSH have the highest entry standards. Members follow a strict Code of Conduct and a formal professional development programme. Most importantly, members are passionate about protecting people.

If you're hiring for a H&S role, asking for the right category of IOSH membership shows that you're serious about finding a professional. It also means that IOSH can verify the H&S qualifications and skills of your consultants - for free.

Chartered Safety and Health Practitioners are senior strategic H&S managers capable and qualified to work in any business or risk sector. Businesses, employers and recruitment consultants are already well used to looking for professionals with Chartered membership. They recognise Chartered status as shorthand for 'best in class' and they know they'll get the highest professional standards from a Chartered individual.
