For 2025/26, 126 workers were killed in work-related incidents across Great Britain.

The main causes were:

• Falls from height, 31

• Being struck by a moving vehicle, 24

• Being struck by a moving object, 21

The latest mesothelioma data also remains a stark reminder of the harm caused by past asbestos exposure, with 2,257 deaths in Great Britain in 2026, lower than the 2012 to 2026 average of 2,529.

These numbers matter. Every life lost leaves a lasting impact.

Strong leadership, sound risk management, and a positive safety culture still matter every single day 🫡

There is progress, but there is still work to do. Let’s keep pushing for safer workplaces 💪
